Yuletide in Oz

These photos are of a weekend in The blue Mountains. They celebrate 'yuletide' which is Christmas in July. Christmas dinner, sing song, tree, festivities. We all travelled a few hours on convoy in our beat up travellers cars with names like 'falcon' etc,. old bangers. The flat we shared in Crown road with six others - Sophie (a Londoner), Matt and Haley (fellow welshies from Ros/Bangor) and me and Dave went. The other girl is a travelling friend called Linsey. She was from Manchester (I think) and lots of fun.

This was the night we arrived for Christmas evening dinner. Lots of eating and drinking in our youth hostel (which was worryingly nicer than our flat back in Crown Road/Queenscliff/Sydney) Lots of fun and drinking games, hence the silly pics :) The next day we went to see the mountains - tourist like and took in the sights, all a bit worse for wear (the morning after the night before). Before travelling back to Sydney, buying 'classic' Ozzie 'Ugg'
boots on a roadside stall...Got to be done.
